EXPERIENCE

The Burgoon Law Firm is a litigation and trial law firm that represents both plaintiffs and defendants in business disputes and litigation, contract disputes, and civil litigation, as well as injured plaintiffs in personal injury lawsuits.  The Burgoon Law Firm was founded in 2007 by attorney Brian Burgoon, who has been practicing law in Atlanta for over 20 years.  


Prior to starting the firm, Brian Burgoon practiced law for over a decade with one of Atlanta's largest and most well regarded law firms.  He is admitted to practice law in Georgia and Florida.  He also is both a Registered Mediator and a Registered Arbitrator with the Georgia Commission on Dispute Resolution, and has served as an arbitrator with the American Arbitration Association since 2008, serving as the decision-maker in a number of business and consumer disputes.  In addition, he serves as a Hearing Officer for employment matters for the Atlanta Board of Education.  He also has been appointed as a Special Master by the Georgia Supreme Court to preside over attorney disciplinary hearings/trials.


Brian Burgoon has a broad base of experience over his legal career.  Brian has handled jury and non-jury trials, appeals and other litigation matters in state and federal court, as well as in arbitrations and mediations.  In addition, he has experience in business law and corporate matters as a corporate mergers and acquisitions lawyer, and handles the start-up and legal needs of businesses and their owners.  Brian's experience includes:
