EXPERIENCE

The Burgoon Law Firm is a litigation and trial law firm that represents both plaintiffs and defendants in business disputes and litigation, contract disputes, and civil litigation.  The Burgoon Law Firm was founded in 2007 by attorney Brian Burgoon, who has been practicing law in Atlanta for over 26 years.  The Burgoon Law Firm was recognized as one of the “Best Law Firms” by U.S. News & World Report and Best Lawyers for 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.


Prior to starting the firm, Brian Burgoon practiced law for more than a decade with one of Atlanta's largest and most well-regarded law firms.  He is admitted to practice law in Georgia and Florida.  He also is both a Registered Mediator and a Registered Arbitrator with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution.  He is an arbitrator on the Large/Complex Case Panel (claims over $1 million), Commercial Panel, and Consumer Panel of the American Arbitration Association (AAA) and has served as the decision-maker in numerous complex business, commercial, and consumer disputes for the AAA since 2008.  Brian also serves on the International Institute for Conflict Prevention & Resolution (CPR) Panel of Distinguished Neutrals as both an arbitrator and mediator.  In addition, he serves as a Hearing Officer for employment matters for both the Atlanta Board of Education and the Fulton County Board of Education, and he has been appointed as a Special Master by the Georgia Supreme Court to preside over attorney disciplinary hearings/trials.  Additionally, he is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Florida College of Law.
